Azerbaijani judoka Hidayat Heydarov won a silver medal at the European Championship among adults held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.
Modern.az reports that the athlete, competing in the 73 kg weight category, faced Georgian Lasha Shavdatuashvili in the final. The Olympic champion, who lost to his opponent, took second place.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented by 15 judokas, including 9 men and 6 women, in the prestigious tournament that will last until April 19. Earlier, Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg) and Turan Bayramov (66 kg) won bronze medals.
