Iran's Supreme Joint Military Command announced yesterday that the Strait of Hormuz has been closed.

According to the information, the ban applies to all maritime transport vehicles, including oil tankers and commercial vessels.
The statement said that any vessel attempting to pass through the strait will be targeted.
It should be noted that the Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the strategic sea routes through which a significant part of world oil trade is carried out. The closure of the strait could seriously affect global energy markets and international shipping.
