The first meeting of the government was held in Armenia after the parliamentary elections on June 7.
Modern.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan congratulated the members of the Cabinet of Ministers on the victory of the ruling “Civil Contract” party in the elections.
“Our main task is to continue the mission of state building with a new quality,” Pashinyan said.
According to him, informal discussions with current and future members of the government are planned in the near future. The goal is to define upcoming tasks and strategic priorities.
“We must determine in which directions we should further strengthen our activities, which issues we should abandon, and in which areas the results we have achieved do not satisfy us, so that we direct our additional efforts precisely in those directions,” the prime minister emphasized.
Nikol Pashinyan also noted that a new stage of development is beginning for the country.
He stated that the name of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs may be considered for change in the new government.
“In the new government, perhaps we will think about changing the name of the ministry. This is just an idea for now, we will discuss it further,” Pashinyan said at the government meeting.
