Kuwaiti authorities have decided to close their airspace after recent strikes by Iran on military bases located in the country.
Modern.az reports that the Kuwait General Directorate of Civil Aviation issued a statement about this.
The agency's statement said that the decision was made taking into account Iran's attacks against Kuwaiti territory and the risks this could pose to the safety of civil aviation in the region.
“This measure is being implemented against the background of serious attacks directed at Kuwaiti territory and the threats they could pose to air transport in the region,” the statement said.
According to the information, planes currently in the air will be redirected to alternative airports.
