Italian club "Lazio" may face the risk of empty stands in home games in the new season.
According to Modern.az, the biggest fan association of the Rome representative has issued an official statement regarding this. The statement said that the fans have decided to boycott the team's home matches within the framework of Serie A and the Italian Cup.
The main reason for the protest is dissatisfaction with the club management, especially with Claudio Lotito, the president and owner of "Lazio". It is noted that similar protest actions against Lotito have been organized before.
According to the information, the fans are seriously dissatisfied with the club's transfer policy, the insufficiency of financial funds allocated to the team, and the high ticket prices.
It should be recalled that "Lazio" finished last Serie A season in 9th place. Thus, the Rome club failed to get the right to participate in European cups for the second consecutive year.
