Seyed Majid Musavi, commander of the Aerospace Force of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (SEPAH), has warned that threatening the Strait of Hormuz will not go unanswered.
Modern.az reports that "Tasnim" Agency published Musavi's warning.
"If you turn the sacred Strait of Hormuz into an unsafe place, we will turn this region into hell for you," Musavi declared.
The commander added that Iran's actions would be a response to "US arrogance in the region."
The agency also cited an unnamed source. That source, in response to US President Donald Trump's threats to "bomb" Iran, stated:
"Any American aggression will be met with a decisive military response, and we will not tolerate political blackmail."
Earlier, Trump had stated that if Iran did not reach an agreement with Washington, it would face stronger blows from the US.
On Thursday night, US forces launched another attack against the Islamic Republic. According to the US CENTCOM command, the strikes were carried out "in self-defense" and were a "response to Iran's unjustified and ongoing aggression."
According to Iranian media, powerful explosions occurred in six regions of the country.
The Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces declared the Strait of Hormuz closed for all ships.
