Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he discussed the opening of railway communication between Turkey and Armenia.
Modern.az reports that Pashinyan said at today's government meeting:
“We hope that the Armenia-Turkey railway will open as soon as possible.”
According to him, the implementation of the TRIPP project can significantly expand the transport capabilities of the region.
The Prime Minister also noted that Armenia has recently gained new transport opportunities, as the Akhalkalaki-Kars railway is operational in both directions.
“I spoke with the Prime Minister of Georgia about this issue, and he confirmed that there will be no problems in any direction. I also spoke with the President of Turkey, and he confirmed that these routes are open,” Pashinyan said.
