Georgia will simplify the application process for social assistance.
Modern.az reports, citing local media, that starting from July 1, low-income families will be able to apply online for registration in the unified database of socially vulnerable citizens through an electronic system.
The platform will also be available in Armenian and Azerbaijani languages. The application review period and the decision-making period for assistance will be reduced to 60 days.
The changes are being implemented within the framework of the Human Capital program with the support of the World Bank. According to official data for 2024, more than 18% of Georgia's population is socially vulnerable.
