Russian President Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on Armenia's distancing from Russia.
Modern.az reports that he answered a question about whether the upcoming meeting between Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan would stop this process.
"Every high-level contact is important. The President will use this meeting to once again remind them of our arguments. However, we cannot be more Armenian than the Armenians themselves. Armenians will make decisions about their own destiny. We also offer them to hold a referendum. The heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union member states have also offered this. All of this will be discussed at the meeting," the Kremlin spokesman said.
