Chinese President Xi Jinping told US President Donald Trump during their meeting in Beijing that Russian leader Vladimir Putin “might regret” his decision to attack Ukraine in the future.

It is reported that Xi Jinping indirectly criticized Putin's decision during discussions about the Russia-Ukraine war. According to sources, the Chinese leader had not expressed such views about the Ukrainian conflict in his previous talks with former US President Joe Biden.
“Financial Times” notes that Xi Jinping's statement coincides with a period when the war has reached a stalemate after four years, and Ukraine is delivering more effective drone strikes on targets deep inside Russia.
According to the information, the Trump administration released a report on the summit held in Beijing on May 17. However, the statement did not include information about the leaders discussing the Russia-Ukraine war.
