Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, accused Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of trying to eliminate his rivals before the elections and questioned the legitimacy of the elections held in the country.

Modern.az reports that Dmitry Medvedev stated this in his statement.

The former Russian president claimed that the Armenian head of government was trying to get rid of his political opponents.

"Pashinyan is trying to eliminate all his rivals in the elections," Medvedev said.

According to him, the elections held in Armenia cannot be considered legitimate, because the current prime minister is trying to remove his rivals from the political process.

Medvedev added that holding such elections "will not be forgiven even in Washington and Brussels" for Pashinyan.
