According to the press service, the attack on the checkpoint took place on Friday morning. The attack was carried out by militants of the "Fitna al-Khawarij" group, also known as "Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan" (TTP).
"The attackers tried to break through the defense of the checkpoint, but their intentions failed. As a result of the explosion, the infrastructure was seriously damaged. As a result, 15 people died, including 12 soldiers, 2 policemen and 1 civil servant," the statement said.
12 militants were killed during the battle.
