Two Lebanese army soldiers have been killed as a result of an Israeli drone attack.
Modern.az reports with reference to “Al-Arabiya” TV channel that Brigadier General Wesam Sabra and another soldier accompanying him were killed as a result of a drone attack on a military vehicle moving on the Khardali-Nabatiyeh road.
In a statement issued by the Lebanese Army, the attack was described as a “savage and aggressive strike”.
It should be recalled that mutual strikes between Israel and “Hezbollah” were recorded just a few hours after a new ceasefire agreement was reached between the two countries on Wednesday through the mediation of the US President Donald Trump administration.
Earlier, “Hezbollah” stated that it did not agree with the terms of the ceasefire reached between the Israeli and Lebanese authorities. The group's leader Naim Qassem said on Thursday that “we have not made any commitment to stop the resistance as long as the occupation continues”. He emphasized the importance of withdrawing Israeli troops from Lebanese territory.
