The trial of Russian citizen Jahid Kamal Isayev, accused of open calls against the state, has concluded at the Baku Court of Grave Crimes.
Modern.az reports with reference to “Haqqin.az” that the verdict was announced at the session chaired by Judge Farid Namazov.
By the court's verdict, Jahid Kamal Isayev was sentenced to 8 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
It should be recalled that he was detained during his visit to Turkey in November 2025 and extradited to Azerbaijan.
C. Isayev was charged under Articles 281.2 (open calls against the state committed by a group of persons), 281-1.2 (dissemination of attributes and symbols aimed at dismembering the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan by a group of persons) and 283.2.1 (inciting national, racial, social or religious hatred and enmity with the use of force or threat of force) of the Criminal Code.
