A phone conversation took place between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump.
Modern.az reports that Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the Russian President, made a statement about this.
According to him, the phone conversation lasted exactly 1 hour and was constructive and open.
Putin and Trump positively assessed the results of the visit of US special representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kyiv, and it was agreed that these visits would continue.
According to Ushakov, Trump spoke about his desire to end the conflict in Ukraine. Thus, Trump is interested in making progress on the Ukrainian conflict during his presidency.
Ushakov noted that Putin highly appreciated Trump's mediation efforts. It was noted what concrete measures Americans can take to end military operations.
During the phone conversation, Putin said that Russia has no hostile plans against Europe.
"It was noted that this is just a cover for increasing military spending," said Putin's assistant.
