US President Donald Trump described in detail the killing of Iranian General Qassem Suleimani in an interview with the “Axios” portal, again calling this operation one of the main decisions of his foreign policy, emphasizing Suleimani's role in armed conflicts in the Middle East.
Modern.az reports that Trump, answering the questions of journalist Steve Caputo, used harsh expressions about Suleimani, considering him responsible for the large losses among American servicemen and allies.
“I destroyed their general. Suleimani was the father of roadside explosive devices (mines). When you see soldiers who have lost their arms, legs, and whose faces are severely wounded, know that 96.2% of this is related to Iran. All this stemmed from Suleimani. This was his favorite weapon. And I killed him.”
