"The US intends to increase oil production in the Middle East to lower gasoline prices for Americans."
Modern.az reports that this was stated by US Vice President JD Vance.
According to him, in negotiations with Iran, Washington is trying to reach an agreement that will allow increasing the volume of oil and gas passing through the Strait of Hormuz:
"If Tehran rejects the agreement, the US will continue pressure and increase oil supplies from the region using diplomatic, economic and military means."
