"Russia may use nuclear weapons if it finds itself in a desperate situation."
Modern.az reports that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated this in an interview with Anadolu Agency.
According to him, if a long-term and exhausting war completely shifts from the front to Russia's rear regions and the issue takes on an existential threat for Moscow, the Kremlin may resort to the "last option."
Fidan stated that this issue has already been discussed during his meetings with Russian and Western parties.
He called the situation dangerous, noting that many scenarios previously considered impossible have ultimately occurred.
