US President Donald Trump said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin want to reach a peace agreement.
Modern.az reports that Trump voiced these views during the open part of his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
“Both Putin and Zelensky want to reach an agreement. Unfortunately, this process took a long time. I think a result will be achieved,” the US leader said.
Trump added that he is regularly sent images from the battle zones in Ukraine, and these are not pleasant scenes.
“They send me pictures. Frankly, sometimes I want to tell them not to send them to me,” he emphasized.
The US President noted that one of those who send him these images is the US Secretary of Defense.
Trump said that it is not pleasant for him to look at these images reflecting the consequences of the war.
