Ankara presented its ongoing construction of the "Ay-Ulduz" (Crescent-Star) joint military headquarters to the defense ministers of NATO member countries.

Modern.az reports, citing Turkish media, that the presentation, held within the framework of the alliance's summit, was met with great interest by military experts and diplomats.

Turkish National Defense Minister Yaşar Gülər stated that the new complex will bring about a revolutionary change in the country's military management system. According to him, the headquarters will unite the General Staff and all types of troop commands under one roof:

"This center will accelerate decision-making, increase management efficiency, and significantly expand our joint operational capabilities."

The Minister noted that the complex will be protected by a multi-layered air and ground defense system within the framework of the "Steel Dome" (Çelik Kubbe) concept. "Ay-Ulduz" will also be equipped with the most modern communication, management, and security systems, which will ensure uninterrupted operation even in crisis or war conditions.

"Ay-Ulduz will not only be one of the largest military command centers in the world but will also become a symbol of Turkey's defense potential and its contribution to NATO's collective security," Yaşar Gülər emphasized.

The headquarters is expected to be fully operational in the near future.
