3 Iranian pilots have been held captive by Qatar for 6 months after their military planes were shot down.

Modern.az reports that the Missing Persons Search Committee of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces issued a statement about this.

The commander of the committee, Brigadier General Mohammad Baqerzadeh, stated in a letter addressed to the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana Špoljarić Egger, that pilots Javad Salehi, Abdulmajid Dashtian, and Imran Behroushian were detained by Qatari forces after two “Su-24” type fighter jets were shot down on March 2.

The Iranian general asked the Red Cross Committee to meet with the pilots as soon as possible, inform Iran about their health condition, and help create the necessary conditions for their release.

It should be noted that Iran had previously announced that two fighter jets were shot down during attacks carried out against the US military base in Qatar. The p of pilot Majid Kazemi, who died as a result of the incident, was returned to Iran and buried. The fate of the other 3 pilots remained unknown for a long time.
