US President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk have restored their relationship. Musk is preparing to support Republicans in the upcoming congressional elections.
Modern.az reports that “The Wall Street Journal” has released details about the reconciliation of the parties.
According to the information, Musk plans to spend at least $100 million to help the Republican Party maintain control of Congress in the midterm elections to be held in November 2026.
This decision indicates that relations between Trump and Musk have normalized again after a long-standing political confrontation. It is reported that a number of individuals, including Vice President J.D. Vance, close supporters of Trump, and conservative activist Charlie Kirk, mediated the reconciliation of the parties over several months.
Musk had previously raised the possibility of creating a new political party, moving away from the Republicans. However, recently he decided to support the Republicans again and plans to allocate funds to increase voter turnout in the elections.
According to reports, Musk's political committee “America PAC” plans to spend between $100-120 million to increase the activity of Republican voters.
