US President Donald Trump's special representative, Steven Witkoff, and his son-in-law, businessman Jared Kushner, brought updated peace documents to meetings in Moscow and Kyiv.

According to the publication, American representatives presented new versions of the documents adopted in previous talks. The documents were updated taking into account the changed situation that arose after the cessation of talks.
FT notes that Witkoff and Kushner did not bring many new ideas to the talks. Instead, they tried to revive discussions around previous proposals with the aim of reducing disagreements between Moscow and Kyiv.
According to the information, one of the main topics of the talks was the territorial issue of Donbas.
It should be noted that Kushner positively evaluated his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 5. He stated that the meeting was a very good dialogue and that the parties discussed a number of important issues.
