After the commissioning of the Zangazur corridor, new concessions and targeted logistical support mechanisms are planned to be applied to entrepreneurs in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Modern.az reports that Milli Majlis deputy Vugar Bayramov wrote about this on his social media account.
The deputy stated that changes have been made to the “State Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023–2027” by order of President Ilham Aliyev.
According to the new changes, after the opening of the Zangazur corridor, additional opportunities will be created for the export of products manufactured in Nakhchivan by land. The application of various concessions will be evaluated separately to stimulate widespread use of these opportunities.
Vugar Bayramov noted that the commissioning of the corridor will create conditions for further expansion of support mechanisms for entrepreneurs in Nakhchivan.
Within the framework of the program, it is planned to provide targeted logistical support to entrepreneurs to accelerate the access of local products to domestic and foreign markets, increase their competitiveness, and optimize transportation costs.
According to the deputy, the new concessions will contribute to the increase of economic activity, employment, and exports in Nakhchivan, as well as the strengthening of local production.
However, the specific types, amounts, and conditions of the concessions to be applied have not yet been determined. These issues will be clarified based on a separate evaluation to be carried out after the Zangazur corridor is put into operation.
