There are no discussions about seasonal price reductions.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Azer Farajov, head of the Passenger Transportation Department of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC (ADY), during a briefing for the media.
Touching upon the issue of prices that interest passengers, the head of the department stated that tickets for the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku train are already on sale at the lowest possible prices.
He noted that attaching previously used, i.e., old wagons, to trains operating on the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku route does not pose any risk or danger to passengers.
The ADY official stated that the mentioned process is fully in accordance with technical operating rules:
“The attached wagons are fully adapted to the overall speed and functionality of the train and do not negatively affect the safety of the rolling stock.”
