An increase in egg production has been recorded in Azerbaijan.
Modern.az reports that in the first half of 2026, 1 billion 625 million eggs were produced in Azerbaijan. This is 1.2 percent more than in the same period last year.
For comparison, in the first 6 months of 2026, 178 million eggs were produced in Georgia, 429 million in Armenia, and 1 billion 847 million in Belarus. In Russia, this figure was 24 billion 178 million units.
Along with the increase in Azerbaijan's egg production, it is noteworthy that a part of the eggs produced in the country is also exported to foreign markets. Thus, local production serves not only to meet domestic demand but also to expand export opportunities.
It should be noted that increasing the production of agricultural and food products is also important for ensuring Azerbaijan's food security.
