The processes taking place within Turkey's main opposition party, CHP, are widely discussed on social networks. In fact, the issue does not end with what happens within a single party. It seems that this tension has, in a certain sense, spread to the entire society. It is natural for people to express their opinions on this matter. What is abnormal, however, is that everyone tries to explain the process as if they were a political expert or professor of many years.
One thing should not be forgotten. Turkey's internal politics are extremely complex. Here, along with political competition, state tradition, historical polarizations, ideological confrontations, social psychology, foreign interests, regional influences, and emotional political reflexes are intertwined. It is impossible to analyze Turkish politics with a few social media posts and emotional approaches. In no other country in the world is politics so multi-layered and sensitive.
At this stage, the most important issue for me is that Turkey does not lose. No internal conflict, political tension, or emotional polarization should harm Turkey's state power, stability, and future. Now, a strong Turkey is as necessary as air and water for the region.
What is even more important is that the events that have taken place do not cast even the slightest shadow on the Azerbaijan-Turkey brotherhood. On the contrary, these relations should be further strengthened. Our brotherhood is not based on daily politics. Political processes and governments may change, but the Azerbaijan-Turkey unity must remain unchanged.
It must be unequivocally accepted that the CHP suffered a serious political blow in this process. But political competition is natural in democratic societies. The main issue is that the state should not suffer. State interests must always stand above political calculations and emotional reactions.
There is also a fundamental principle. Political disputes should not touch Turkey's founding values. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is the founder of the Republic of Turkey, and his place in history is unchangeable. Historical figures should be evaluated with the common memory of the state and the nation.
Today, what Turkey needs most is sound judgment. A strong Turkey is one of the greatest guarantees for both the Turkic world and the region.
