The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has announced the new ranking of world tennis players as of September 14.
Modern.az reports that the winner of the US Open, Elena Rybakina, representing Kazakhstan, rose to the first place in the ranking with 7492 points.
Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka dropped to second place with 6485 points. US representative Jessica Pegula rose to third place with 5825 points.
A number of other changes have occurred in the top ten. American tennis player Coco Gauff is fourth, and Mirra Andreeva, representing Russia, is fifth.
Ukrainian Elina Svitolina is sixth, Czech Karolina Muchova is seventh, Linda Noskova is eighth, Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk is ninth, and Polish Iga Świątek is tenth.
