Not only culture, but also brotherhood is strengthening in Baku
Modern.az reports that these words were said by Ünal Üstel, Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, during his speech at the “Northern Cyprus Culture Day” event held in Baku.
The Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the presence of the delegation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Azerbaijan and stated that the event serves to further develop relations between the two countries.
He noted that the event was made possible thanks to the support of the Azerbaijani leadership and the friendly relations formed between the two countries:
“First of all, I express my satisfaction at being together with the valuable protocol and beloved media representatives in this beautiful environment. As a delegation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, I feel great pleasure to be in Azerbaijan and to meet with you today on the occasion of Northern Cyprus Culture Day.”
In his speech, Ü.Üstel also thanked the Azerbaijani state leadership and those who played a role in the cooperation:
“I thank Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ali Asadov, Prime Minister, who led the realization of this significant event, as well as Mr. Tahir Budaqov, Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party, and Javanşir Feyziyev, head of the Azerbaijan-Northern Cyprus inter-parliamentary friendship group, who made significant contributions to the development of relations between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Azerbaijan.”
The Prime Minister also highly appreciated the services of other persons involved in the organization of the event:
“At the same time, I thank Fikri Ataoğlu, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, the representation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and all employees.”
At the end of his speech, Ü.Üstel specifically emphasized the importance of the event:
“Today, we are not just holding a cultural event here. We are strengthening our brotherhood here, reaffirming our common history and common future.”
