The new emblem depicts the flag of Armenia and the map of the country. At the same time, the emblem includes an eagle depicted with a sword and a cross element.
In addition, the equilateral cross on the shield in the previous version was removed from the emblem and another sign was added instead.
It should be noted that the previous emblem was approved by former president Robert Kocharyan on January 23, 2001.
