Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the details of a new energy cooperation agreement with Iraq.
Modern.az reports that Erdoğan stated that Turkey's "Turkish Petroleum" company was given the right to partner in the development of the Kirkuk oil field in Iraq.
According to him, the field is currently operated by "British Petroleum".
"The agreement signed today is an important step in terms of the development of our cooperation in the energy sector," the Turkish President emphasized.
