Since the beginning of 2026, the total wealth of Russia's richest businessmen has increased by approximately $22 billion.

According to the Billionaires Index as of June 1, the ranking includes 20 businessmen from Russia. Among Russians, the first place is held by Alexey Mordashov. He is the owner of "Severstal" and "Nordgold" companies, and his wealth is estimated at $29.9 billion. According to "Bloomberg" calculations, his wealth has increased by $3.66 billion since the beginning of the year. Mordashov is in 81st place in the overall ranking of the world's richest people.
Among the Russians participating in the ranking, Andrey Melnichenko showed the largest increase in wealth. He is associated with EuroChem and SUEK companies. Since the beginning of the year, the value of his assets has increased by $5.63 billion, reaching $24.6 billion, according to the ranking compilers' estimates. Melnichenko is in 104th place in the ranking.
The largest capital increase was demonstrated by American Elon Musk. Since the beginning of 2026, the value of his assets has increased by $116 billion. Musk, the founder of SpaceX and CEO of Tesla, leads the ranking with a fortune of $735 billion.
Valentina Matviyenko, the chairwoman of the Russian Federation Council, proposed transferring funds belonging to Alexey Mordashov from offshore zones to Russia. In response, "Severstal" company stated that Mordashov has no offshore assets, all his assets are in Russia, and he himself is under international sanctions.
