Communication between Iran and the US regarding the draft agreement has been suspended for several days.
Modern.az reports that Iran's "Fars" news agency spread information about this, citing a source.
The source stated that the latest draft amendment sent from Tehran to Washington included an explicit message about the necessity of restoring the ceasefire in Lebanon.
"Tasnim" also wrote on June 1 that Tehran had suspended contacts with Washington in protest of Israel's attack on Lebanon. The US and Iran had been exchanging messages for some time regarding a draft agreement that envisioned extending the ceasefire and restoring the movement of ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
