"Iran demands immediate restoration of half of its frozen assets abroad after a deal with the US is reached."
Modern.az reports that Kazem Gharibabadi, an official of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), told "Mehr" agency.
According to him, Iran demands the removal of sanctions imposed on its assets:
"Iran's minimum demand is that 50% of these funds be transferred to Iran immediately after the memorandum of understanding is signed."
The MFA official also noted that work on the final version of the agreement between Iran and the US is ongoing.
According to him, the text of the agreement will be approved only when official Tehran is satisfied with the result.
