In the wake of a series of assassinations of high-ranking generals in the Russian Armed Forces, appropriate steps have been taken to strengthen the security of President Vladimir Putin.

Modern.az reports that this was stated in information published on some Ukrainian Telegram channels.

It is claimed that Vladimir Putin has decided to strengthen his personal security.

According to Russian media, Putin has increased the staff of his personal security service for the fourth time since the beginning of the large-scale war.

Vladimir Putin's personal pguards are not random people. They are selected from a special unit called the "Presidential Security Service" operating within the Federal Protective Service.

The Federal Protective Service is one of Russia's most secretive organizations. Established in 1996, its main task is to ensure the security of the president, high-ranking government officials, strategic facilities, and official events. The service is formed through a strict selection process inherited from the former USSR era and based on the elite structure of the "KGB".

According to research, the pguards seen next to Vladimir Putin are merely a "showcase". There are also unseen security personnel, snipers, observers, intelligence drones, and those provided with special communications. Before each official visit, the location the president will visit is checked for days.

Putin's pguards are mainly individuals with athletic degrees or titles in various martial arts.

Research in the Western press acknowledges that Vladimir Putin's security is protected at a high level militarily and technologically. His pguards are elite personnel who ensure not only physical but also political and information security. They are considered the president's trusted individuals.

Putin's pguards accompany him on all his domestic and foreign trips and fly with the president on the plane. The pguards control all of Putin's residences and apartments.
During the Russian president's visits, the escort team is divided into two parts: some go directly with Putin, while others arrive at the destination in advance.

The head of the Russian Presidential Security Service is Alexey Rubezhnoy. He was appointed head of the Russian Presidential Security Service on June 28, 2016. Rubezhnoy accompanies Putin everywhere and stands within two meters of him.
