Due to the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix to be held in Baku, the educational process in some general education institutions located in the race areas will be organized online.
The State Agency for Preschool and General Education announced this.
So, on what dates will the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix be held?
Modern.az reports that the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held on September 24–26, 2026, at the Baku City Circuit.
This year will mark a first in the history of the race: the main Grand Prix race in Baku will take place on Saturday, September 26, for the first time, instead of Sunday. This change was made to avoid coinciding with Remembrance Day (September 27), which falls on a Sunday.
The race program will begin on September 23 with a Pit Lane walk for ticket holders, followed by official sessions. The races will be organized in the following order:
September 24: 1st free practice (12:30–13:30) and 2nd free practice (16:00–17:00);
September 25: 3rd free practice (12:30–13:30) and Qualifying session (16:00–17:00).
September 26: Drivers' presentation (13:00) and Azerbaijan Grand Prix main race (15:00).
It should be noted that preparations for the Formula 1 races in Baku have been accelerated.
