The Prosecutor General's Office of Poland wants to question President Karol Navrotski as a witness within the framework of an investigation into the obstruction of a decision by four judges of the Constitutional Court.

Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that the prosecutor has asked the president to indicate a convenient date and place for the questioning.

The investigation began on April 21, based on an appeal by two judges of the Constitutional Court. The case examines the issue of four judges being prevented from operating in the court.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, more than 40 witnesses have been questioned during the investigation, including employees of the Presidential Administration and the Constitutional Court. Documents relevant to the case have also been seized.

The Prosecutor's Office believes that questioning Navrotski as a witness is necessary for a full determination and legal assessment of all circumstances of the incident. Thus, the legal and political confrontation between the president and the government and judicial system, which has been ongoing in Poland in recent months, has entered a new phase. It is not yet known when and where Navrotski's questioning will take place.
