With the new decision that came into force in Greece, the recruitment of women for voluntary military service has officially begun.

It is reported that the Greek army took this step to diversify the personnel structure of the armed forces and ensure that women play a more active role in military service. Within the framework of the project that recognizes the opportunity to serve as a volunteer soldier, 72 women who applied and were accepted for service have already started performing their duties in the relevant units of the Land Forces as of today.
This system, based on the principle of volunteering, is expected to further increase the number of female soldiers in the army in the next stages.
