Russia expects the next meeting in the "3+3" format (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and their three neighbors - Russia, Turkey and Iran) on the South Caucasus to be held at the level of foreign ministers in Baku or Yerevan.

Modern.az reports that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated this at the session "3+3 Platform: common challenges and strategic partnership" held within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

"We expect the next ministerial meeting to be held either in Baku or in Yerevan. As far as we know, negotiations on this issue are continuing between our Azerbaijani and Armenian colleagues," Galuzin emphasized.

According to him, Russia supports the opening of all transport links in the South Caucasus region for the full functioning of the "3+3" format.

Galuzin also noted that Georgia is an important partner for the platform and the prospects of the format cannot be fully realized without its participation.
