Law enforcement agencies in Armenia have been searching the offices of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) in Gyumri since the morning.
Modern.az reports that Armenia's "Hraparak" publication spread information about this.
According to the information, the apartment and office of Ara Nakhshkaryan, a publicist, participant of the Karabakh war, and former candidate for deputy from the "Hayastan" bloc, were also searched.
According to the publication, various documents, data carriers, as well as Ara Nakhshkaryan's mobile phone were seized during the searches.
According to information released by "Hraparak", 3 people have been detained in connection with the incident and investigative actions are being carried out with them.
It is reported that two of the detainees are young women, and one of them reached adulthood only a few days ago.
The publication, citing its sources, claims that the detainees are being pressured to testify against Ara Nakhshkaryan and are even threatened with arrest.
The information notes that law enforcement agencies are allegedly trying to form a new criminal case related to the election process and set up a fake election bribery case.
Ara Nakhshkaryan is considered one of the harshest critics of the current government.
