The reason for the non-appearance of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, in public is due to security concerns.
Modern.az reports that Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated this in an interview with Al-Mayadeen TV channel.
He noted that Iran's Supreme Leader is closely involved in the processes taking place in the country and continues to influence the course of events.
“The Supreme Leader is very closely involved in the processes in the country and maintains control. However, for security reasons, the relevant authorities do not consider it appropriate for him to appear in public more often,” Araqchi said.
The minister added that the Iranian government is in constant contact with the Supreme Leader, and Ayatollah Khamenei participates in making strategic decisions.
