The United States has granted visas to players of the Iranian national football team to participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Modern.az reports that Al Arabiya TV channel spread information about this.

According to the information given by the TV channel, citing a White House spokesperson, visas have been issued for Iranian footballers to enter the US.

The Iranian national football team's first match in the World Cup will be held on June 15 in Los Angeles. The team will face the New Zealand national football team in that match.

The Iranian national team will also face the Belgian national football team and the Egyptian national football team in the group stage.
