CIS observers: no serious violations in elections

The CIS observation mission announced that it did not find any violations that could affect the results of the parliamentary elections held in Armenia.

Modern.az reports that Nurlan Seytimov, head of the CIS observation mission, deputy secretary general of the CIS, said this at a press conference held on June 8.

According to him, the individual shortcomings recorded were technical in nature and were promptly eliminated.

"No violations that could affect the election results have been identified," Seytimov said.

He added that the elections to the Armenian parliament were held in accordance with the country's Constitution and Electoral Code, and the voting took place in an open and competitive environment.
