US President Donald Trump said that the agreement reached between Washington and Tehran could be signed within the next 48 hours.
Modern.az reports that Trump said this at a press conference held after the G7 summit in Evian-le-Ben, France.
According to Trump, the text of the memorandum of understanding has already been finalized, but the venue for the signing ceremony has not yet been determined.
The US leader also noted that the American Armed Forces will continue to remain in the Persian Gulf region for some time.
Trump added that a complete ban on Iran possessing ballistic missiles would not be a fair approach.
“Other countries in the Middle East also have such weapons. Therefore, it would not be right to completely ban Iran from possessing ballistic missiles,” the US President emphasized.
