US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that new attempts will be made in the coming weeks to resume peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.
Modern.az reports that he spoke about this in an interview with Fox News.
According to Rubio, Washington will try to reactivate the negotiation process to stop the war in the coming weeks.
"In the next few weeks, we will witness certain efforts aimed at resuming negotiations between Russia and Ukraine and ending this war."
The US Secretary of State noted that the principled positions of both sides still differ significantly.
"We understand that both sides have certain principled positions. Until we can bring these positions closer, it will not be possible to achieve the desired result."
Rubio added that overcoming these differences is the main challenge of peace talks.
