Modern.az reports that the Turkish Statistical Institute (Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu (TÜİK)) released information about this.
It was stated that the number of tourists coming to the country also decreased by 5.1 percent, amounting to 15.58 million people.
According to Turkish analysts, one of the main reasons for the decline is the increase in the cost of recreation as a result of the policy of keeping the lira's exchange rate stable. Against this background, Turkey is gradually losing its reputation as one of the most accessible tourist destinations.
