"Canada has provided a new aid package worth $900 million to Ukraine, which also includes support in the field of air defense."
Modern.az reports with reference to "Interfax-Ukraine" that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this at the end of his meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in Turkey.
According to the Ukrainian president, this aid package is of particular importance at a time when the country needs to strengthen its defense against Russian missile attacks.
In turn, Mark Carney stated that Canada's aid is intended for the medium term and, in addition to support in the field of air defense, will also include military equipment, ammunition and other types of assistance.
During the meeting, Zelensky and Carney also discussed the creation of a bank in the field of defense, security and sustainability.
