Horrific details have been revealed in court regarding the murder of Ann Widdecombe, a former British minister and prominent figure of the "Reform UK" Party.

According to the information, 78-year-old Ann Widdecombe was attacked by an unknown person on July 8 while having lunch at her rural home in southwest England. Her p was found in the kitchen of her home the next day.
Prosecutors in a London court stated that Joshua Karry, a 28-year-old British citizen, struck Widdecombe's head 21 times with a hammer. According to the indictment, before the attack, he entered the house and asked, "Do you have your bank cards and ID?" He then attacked the woman with a hammer he had hidden, knocked her from her chair to the floor, took her purse, and left the house in approximately two minutes.
According to prosecutor Kashif Malik, a security camera installed in the house fully recorded the incident.
Joshua Karry was charged with murder at Westminster Magistrates' Court in London. He did not declare himself guilty or innocent of the charge. Subsequently, the Old Bailey Central Criminal Court decided to keep him in custody until his next court hearing in October.
Although the police believe the murder was intentional, the motive for the crime has not yet been determined. It is also being investigated whether the attack was related to terrorism.
Ann Widdecombe served as a junior minister in John Major's government from 1992 to 1997. In recent years, she served as a spokesperson for immigration and justice issues in the "Reform UK" Party led by Nigel Farage. After leaving parliament in 2010, she participated in a number of television projects, including "Strictly Come Dancing."
