Russia hit the office of the head of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv with a drone strike.
Modern.az reports with reference to Ukrainian media that a Russian UAV hit the building of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) located on Vladimirskaya Street in the center of Kyiv.
The unmanned aerial vehicle landed in the office of General Alexander Poklad, who was temporarily performing the duties of the head of the special service.
Poklad was not in the office at the time of the strike.
A fire broke out after the UAV hit the building. Currently, work is underway to eliminate the consequences of the incident and extinguish the fire. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also confirmed the incident. He stated that a Russian UAV hit the main building of the SBU located in the center of Kyiv, in front of St. Sophia Cathedral.
According to Zelensky, the Russian side specifically targeted the office of the head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
