Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha stated that his country is ready for a ceasefire and negotiations with Russia without any preconditions. However, Kyiv will not give up its territorial integrity and sovereignty for the sake of peace.

Modern.az reports that Sybiha spoke about this in an interview with the Kazakh publication “Ulysmedia”.

Answering a question about the reasons for the suspension of peace talks, the minister stated that Ukraine is ready to stop the war, and Kyiv's partners also support this. However, according to him, there are no signs of this from the Russian side.

Sybiha noted that Kyiv is also ready for a meeting at the presidential level and cooperation in any format.

To the journalist's question about why it was not possible to reach an agreement with Russia in 2022, in the first months of the war, Sybiha replied:

“I remember all of Russia's proposals. All of them were proposals for capitulation. These are unacceptable. Such proposals are inadmissible. Ukraine will never agree to any agreement at the expense of its territorial integrity and sovereignty.”

According to Sybiha, each day of the war costs Ukraine approximately $450 million.

The minister also stated that during the war, the country's defense industry, especially the production of unmanned aerial vehicles, has significantly increased. According to him, Ukraine can produce up to 20 million UAVs of various types, and their production has increased 54 times.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister emphasized that any peace agreement must be accompanied by real and legal security guarantees. According to him, political statements alone are not enough, and the country's main defense must remain a strong, combat-ready army.

Sybiha added that currently, US President Donald Trump and the American side are the main mediators in peace talks. At the same time, the role of allies in Europe is also important.

The minister expressed hope that mediation efforts will intensify.
